By Rail
Please travel to Milton Keynes Central station (London trains leave from Euston on the Birmingham line). The start & finish area is a mile walk from the station and will be clearly signposted. For train times and travel information, please consult the National Rail website at http://www.nationalrail.co.uk.
By Taxi
Taxis can be found outside the MK Central Station.
By Road
From the M1… Leave M1 at Junction 14 and take the A509 towards Central Milton Keynes. At the first roundabout take the second exit H6 Childs Way. Stay on this road over the next five roundabouts (the Xscape building is now on your right), at the sixth roundabout (South Secklow roundabout) turn right on to Secklow Gate. The XScape Building is on your right.
From the A5… Leave the A5 at the exit towards Milton Keynes Central (A509) and take the third exit (from south) or first exit (from North) on the roundabout, signposted A509. Cross three roundabouts and at the fourth, take the third exit onto Secklow Gate. The Xscape Centre will be ahead of you on your left at the junction with Avebury Boulevard (third set of traffic controlled lights).
Please allow enough time for your journey. We suggest that you arrive at least 90 minutes before the event to give yourself enough time to find a parking space and to get to the start / finish areas, use the loos etc.

Parking
There are numerous multi story and open car parks very close to the Xscape Centre. Please park in any of them and make you way over to Xscape Centre.
Please note that parking fees will apply in most car parks. It is strongly recommend that payment is made before leaving your vehicle and car park charging periods do vary.
Information
All information will be sent to you with your timing chip and race number about three weeks before the race but there is an Information Point in the start / finish area outside the Xscape building.
Baggage
We have a secure baggage area in place, however, if you have travelled by car, it is always safer to leave your bags and valuables in the boot of your car. The baggage area is situated close to the start / finish area and the information point.
Changing
There are no changing facilities and it is recommended that you arrive in your running kit.

Course
The course is run on the roads and bicycle paths that dissect Milton Keynes (all tar macadam). The half marathon, 10k and 5k routes consist of a one-lap course with mile markers at each mile point. The 20m route consists of one 10k loop and two 11k loops.
Water
Water will be available on the course at 3, 6, 9 & 11 miles for the half marathon, the same plus 14 and 17 miles for the 20m and at 3 miles for the 10k. Water is available for all three events at the finish. Please bring your own water to drink prior to the start.
First Aid
Medical support will be present on the course and at the finish. You should be relatively fit and have no known medical conditions that would place your health in danger. Please note – do not run with a cold or flu. This can be extremely dangerous.
Toilets
Toilets will be placed in the Xscape car park close to the start/finish area but there are very limited toilets are available in the Xscape Centre. We have some toilets at the 3m and 10m points on the course.
Race T-Shirt
The Official Milton Keynes Festival of Running official race tech t-shirt will be available to buy through the entry system. We sell those remaining on the day of the race – see details on the entry page.
Clothing & Footwear
We recommend you wear clothing specifically designed for running. It will be made from a technical fibre that will wick away moisture keeping you dry. Cotton will absorb moisture making the clothing heavy and it’ll keep you cold in cold conditions.
Always wear running specific footwear. You’ll maybe uncomfortable and risk injury if you are wearing a shoe designed for another sport. Timing & Results
ALL races will be chip timed.
You’ll be sent your timing device and race number with your race information pack which we will start to post to runners from Monday 25th February via 2nd Class Post. The timing device will be included within your race number. Please ensure that you are wearing the race number on the front of your vest / T-shirt and that it is visible. Results will appear on the website later on race day.
Photography
RandR Photos will be on-course, photos will be up and available to buy within 48 hours. We’ll also offer downloadable certificates again.
Refreshments
Available in the Xscape Centre.

Refunds
Like virtually all races in the UK, we use the entry fees to put the event on. Because of this, we regret that once entry applications have been processed we cannot refund any entry fees to runners who do not eventually take part or wish to pull out prior to the event.
